PRISMA’s Shareholders elected new Chairmen
PRISMA’s shareholders elected Torben Brabo as the new Chairman and Ulrich Ronnacker as Vice-Chairman.
Leipzig, March 23, 2023 – Today, PRISMA’s shareholders elected new Chairs: Torben Brabo, Senior Vice President at Energinet, will be the new Chairman whereas Ulrich Ronnacker, Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Open Grid Europe, will take the Vice Chair.
After being in charge for five years, the current chairperson Catherin Brun, Vice President of Strategy and Public Affairs at GRTgaz S.A., and Jeppe Dano, Vice President for Markets at Energinet, handed over their tasks in today’s shareholder assembly.
Commenting on his appointment, Torben Brabo said: “After almost six years under Catherin Brun, we have seen PRISMA strengthen its position on the European scene. Today, I am honoured for having been entrusted to take the lead of the shareholder’s board at a time when “business as usual” is not an option. The European gas infrastructure industry faces major challenges: provide the European industries, services and citizens with continuous and affordable energy and a fair transition to a fully decarbonised integrated energy system.“
Newly elected Vice-Chairman Ulrich Ronnacker adds:
“PRISMA aims for preparing and actively shaping Europe's energy future and I'm very happy to be able to contribute to it again.” Ulrich Ronnacker already was elected vice-chairman from 2013 to 2015.

Torben Brabo is Senior Vice President on International Relations at Energinet, the Danish national transmission system operator for electricity and natural gas. He has almost 30 years of experience in the energy and power/gas sector in Denmark and abroad. Torben Brabo is also the President of GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe), he is Board member in ENTSOG (European Network of gas TSOs) and promoting ERGAR (European Renewable Gas Registry). Moreover, he participates in several decarbonisation projects, such as the Green Gas Initiative and Gas for Climate.
Ulrich Ronnacker is the Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Open Grid Europe, the largest gas transmission grid operator in Germany. As a key player in the energy transition, Open Grid Europe aims to prepare Germany for the energy mix of the future, where green gases such as hydrogen will play an essential role.
