AggregateEU Updates | July
Join the Gas Consuming Industries’ Working Group of the EU Commission!

Dear Reader,
the initial two tendering rounds through AggregateEU were highly successful, resulting in a remarkable total volume of 22.88 billion cubic meters of gas demand being matched with supplies. While there was interest from industrial consumers in participating in the joint purchase, only a few of them actually placed a demand on the platform.
To address this, the European Commission is taking proactive steps to gather structured feedback specifically from industrial end consumers. The aim is o utilize this feedback to improve the platform from the perspective of gas-consuming industries, such as glass, ceramics, or steel producers.
The Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER) has launched an initiative to establish a dedicated working group that will focus on collecting feedback from gas-consuming industries regarding AggregateEU. This working group will operate as a sub-group under the Industry Advisory Group(IAG).
If you want to contribute to the enhancement of AggregateEU and play a vital role in shaping its future, we encourage you to apply for membership in the sub-group. Your insights and expertise can make a significant difference. You can view the Call for Applications here.

Yours,
The PRISMA team
1 Working Group, 4 Tasks
This working group will consist of two types of members: Gas-consuming industries that procure gas for their own use and have subscribed to AggregateEU. These members may have already participated as buyers or intend to do so in the future.
EU-level industry associations representing these gas consumers will also be part of the group, participating as observers. Each member will serve a one-year term, and the group aims to hold four meetings annually. These meetings can take place at the Commission premises, virtually, or in hybrid mode.
The primary objectives of the working group are as follows:
- Assist DG ENER in evaluating the implementation of AggregateEU, ensuring that the platform operates effectively and aligns with the requirements of gas-consuming industries.
- Regularly provide DG ENER with detailed feedback on the user experience of AggregateEU, helping to identify areas for improvement and enhancing the overall usability of the platform.
- Collaborate with DG ENER to analyze the shortcomings of AggregateEU from the perspective of users, offering valuable insights and proposing effective solutions.
- Support DG ENER in identifying potential improvements to existing products and exploring the integration of other valuable products or services into AggregateEU for future tendering rounds.
For more detailed information about the working group, please refer to the linked Working Group Details.
